Personal Safety and Kickboxing
Teens face many challenges; they may appear street-smart and outwardly confident, but many inwardly worry about dieting, stereotypes, nutrition and identity. This programme uses kickboxing as a means to provide a good aerobic workout and empower individuals. Participants learn that inner strength, if correctly directed, builds self-esteem and confidence. The theme of building self-esteem is included in all the sessions and participants learn
team-building, communication and social skills.
“The girls developed their fitness and understanding of
their inner strengths. This is all because of the sessions that
Foundations has run. This has been amazing.” Debbie
Whiting, Year Tutor, Lady Margaret’s School
